Tarangire National Park

Tanzania’s 6th largest park, Tarangire spans 2,600 sq km and is famed for its enormous elephant herds and dramatic seasonal wildlife migration. During the dry season, approximately 250,000 animals converge on the life-giving Tarangire River amid expansive savanna and seasonal swamps.

Ngorongoro Crater

The world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater measures 16 to 19 km in diameter and boasts walls up to 610 meters high. This unique ecosystem shelters over 26,000 animals including the famous Big Five — lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and black rhino. Highlights include montane forests teeming with leopards, the tranquil Hippo Pool, and open grasslands alive with wildebeest, zebra, hyenas, and eland.

Lake Manyara National Park

Set against the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a shallow soda lake known for its rich birdlife — including thousands of flamingos — and distinctive tree-climbing lions. The park’s diverse habitats support an impressive range of wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, hippos, and colorful bird species.
