This 5-day classic safari takes you through three of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha after breakfast with your professional driver-guide at 07:30 AM. Head 188 km southwest to Tarangire National Park, known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds.

Explore the park’s seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River, home to a diverse array of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and numerous antelope species.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, continue your journey toward Serengeti National Park, entering through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at the crater rim for a panoramic view and a geological briefing by your guide before proceeding.

Enjoy a game drive en route as you enter the Serengeti, following the movement of the Great Migration. Predators like lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards often trail the massive herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles.

Day 3: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti plains — Tanzania’s oldest and most celebrated national park. Renowned for its wide-open savannahs and incredible density of wildlife, the Serengeti is the stage for one of the world’s most dramatic wildlife spectacles: the annual Great Migration.

Spend the day tracking herds, photographing big cats, and marveling at the endless plains that have remained largely unchanged for millennia. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue your game drive into the afternoon.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Start the morning with a sunrise game drive, when the wildlife is most active. After breakfast, begin your drive toward Ngorongoro, with a game drive en route. Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, a world-famous archaeological site known for early human fossils and ancient tools — a must-see for those interested in the history of humankind.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural wonder teeming with wildlife. With over 26,000 animals, the crater offers one of the best chances in Africa to see all Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the critically endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Gorigor Hippo Pool, where you can stretch your legs and observe hippos wallowing and birds flitting through the wetland.

After your game drive, ascend from the crater and return to Arusha (approx. 190 km), arriving in the late afternoon.
